Civic Schools is an initiative of Sambhawana that provides schools with a framework for rigorously assessing and improving their civic education offerings through curricular and extra-curricular activities as well as opportunities for youth voice in decision making. Using a collaborative process that brings together youth and adults, we help schools think creatively about how to improve their civic health and achieve their civic mission. Civic Schools builds on eight years of experience designing and implementing civic education programs and working with young people of Nepal.
We are looking for 8 volunteers to be placed for new session of Civic Schools in four schools within Kathmandu Valley. If you are in between the age group of 18-25, passionate about civic education and have at least 2 hours to spare in a week for 6 months (February-July 2014), email us your CV at firstname.lastname@example.org by 5 pm,17 January 2014.
All volunteers will attend one day orientation about Civic Schools and its program approaches, methods and implementation process . Basic stipend will be provided to all the volunteers. After successful completion of 6 months, they will join Civic Schools Design Team.
