Girls initiative network is dedicated to providing as many opportunities as possible to young girls through a number of capacity building and skills development programs. This gender specific program is aimed at helping girls from all different cultural, social and economic backgrounds. One of the main focal points of this initiative network is to avoid bias so as to ensure an equal opportunity for as many girls as possible. These programs are usually available to girls from ages 12 years old through 16 years old. Two-week, intensive leadership building and community involvement course is organized bi-annually that equips 40 adolescent girls with the tools to become confident, compassionate and be part of a change in their own community. The course is focused on human rights, civic affairs and personal and professional skills such as team building, public speaking, service learning etc.
